King's Lynn

On Tuesday, we planed to visit London, but unfortunatly for the second time, we couldn't go there. The price of the train ticket to London depend on the day you are living. The week end, prices get down until 15 pounds, but during the weeks they cost 35 to go in London and come back which is incredibly expensive. So to not do nothing for that day, we decided to go to adventure in a town called King's Lynn, without any preparation. We just choose this town because it's was cheaper and not too far from Cambridge.

King's Lynn is a city in the Norfolk (which is a region of England), at the edge of the North see. The wind was stronger than in Cambridge due to its proximity to the see. In any city, if you do not have prepared something, you have to go to the information center to be informed of what you can do there. They gave us a map and the 22 things we cannot miss before leaving.

Unfortunalty, lots of buildings were closed. However we could have enjoyed from outside old buildings. As everywhere in England, this location was genuine with old stones and pavements. I love this calm and peaceful atmosphere. So the first picture is St Margaret Church which is one of the largest churches in the country, and it was built in 1101 ans rebuilt in the 18th century. Inside wasn't amazing but the building in itself is very beautiful. The second one is the Red Mount Chaptel, this one was incredible too. But it wasn't opened at that period. The last one is Saint Nicholas' Chapel which presents beautiful carved angels.

If you like old buildings, this town could be interesting to visit, but one day or one afternoon is enough, especially when everything is closed!

The center is a very cute one with shops and around it, you can find big parks.
